Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi State, has promised to advance the state’s socio-economic and political initiatives.
In his goodwill message to the residents of Bauchi State on New Year’s Day, the governor said although 2024 had its challenges, 2025 will be peaceful and prosperous.

My , Fellow Citizens of Bauchi State.
God Almighty, thank you for bringing us to the beginning of 2025 today and keeping us in the dark through the year 2024. I join the good people of Bauchi State and all other Nigerians in ringing in the new year.  , Like all other years,  , the year 2024 has had its challenges in the economic, political and social spheres of human life. These obstacles have been overcome, and we are now in the new year, praying for a peaceful and prosperous 2025, to God Almighty’s glory.
I congratulate the brave people of Bauchi State on overcoming the many difficulties faced by 2024.  ,  , As a people, we have remained steadfast in the face of economic hardship that has made life unbearable. Our faith in God and persistent prayers helped us survive the storm.  ,  , I would like to appeal to your continued patience and perseverance. We will continue to provide palliative items to lessen the impact of the hardship and work toward finding long-term solutions to it on our part as a government.
It is gratifying to note that in spite of the paucity of funds, we have not relented in our drive towards the provision of infrastructural and Social facilities, especially in the areas of Roads Reconstruction, Mass Housing, Urban Renewal and Education. We have also recorded significant strides in reviving Agriculture, Economic Empowerment and Youth Development.
Let me assure you that our government will continue to improve and push the boundaries of progress toward our beloved State’s socio-economic and political development.  , To this end, we will continue to deepen consultation, stake-holding and community engagement which are essential for good governance. This stakeholder ownership will emphasize the rights and obligations of the citizens. We also emphasize that the people have an inalienable right to hold the government accountable to the taxpayer. We will also work hard to uphold the adage that “we are our brothers’ keepers” and show that ours is a loving government that treats voters after Election Day in all respects.
We have also made a commitment to maintain security by keeping watchful of criminal activity. In Bauchi State, criminals and their associates will not have a safe haven, I assure you. Government will continue to provide security agencies in the State with the necessary assistance to successfully and efficiently address potential security issues. I ask you all to cooperate with security personnel by reporting suspicious activity or people to them.  , I need not tell you that the fight against insecurity is a collective responsibility.
In order for peace, tranquillity, and prosperity to continue to rule over Bauchi State and Nigeria as a whole, I ask for the prayers, cooperation, and understanding of our traditional rulers, religious leaders, stakeholders, and politicians of all political affiliations.
I wish you a prosperous and happy 2025.
