Nelly defends performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration in defiant statement

As he defends his participation in Donald Trump’s inauguration party, Nelly has described it as an “honour.”

The rapper is set to be part of Trump’s second inauguration at the US Capitol today alongside Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, Village People and Jason Aldean. Due to the cold, it has since been moved indoors. Nelly has made a statement just before the event to address the criticism he has received for performing there.

He claimed that he didn’t anticipate that people would question his actions and commitment to his community. Nelly argued in a conversation with Willie D. from the Geto Boys that “the things you do” are more significant than “the things you say should be done.” He said: “I didn’t know that I had to agree with your political choices.

” If you follow what I do, this shouldn’t even be an argument. He is the president. He won. I’m not doing this for money. I’m doing this because it’s an honor. I respect the office. It don’t matter who is in office. Similar to how our brothers and sisters fight in a battle to defend their lives against those in power. Therefore, I can undoubtedly perform for whoever is in office if they can put their life on the line for them.

Nelly responded to his demand for proof that he might potentially endorse a “white supremacist” with his performance. He added:” I’m not saying that he ain’t got some f—ed up ways, that’s why I’m not telling you who to vote for. He is the president of the United States, as I’m stating. He’s not the candidate for the United States-he’s the president. He won. “

Last year, 50 Cent revealed he was offered $3million to perform at Trump’s controversial rally at New York’s Madison Square Garden. On The Breakfast Club, the rapper and actor, real name Curtis James Jackson III, was questioned about the accuracy of the rumor.
