NAF Probes Alleged Killing Of Civilian By Personnel In Kaduna Community

One person died and several others were hurt in an incident involving the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) that occurred on Thursday in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State’s Unguwan Gangare and Barkallau community.

On Wednesday night, some armed members of the Nigerian Air Force reportedly entered the community and attacked the residents, shooting sporadic shots and beating them, causing injuries to one person and others to others.

The Nigerian Airforce acknowledged in a statement that some people who are currently receiving medical care at the 461 NAF Hospital in Kaduna were hurt in an interview with its spokesman, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, who said the unfortunate incident had caused the country’s air force to acknowledge the incident.

Akinboyewa expressed regret for the incident’s death, noting that the Air Force has reached out to the deceased’s family to offer its condolences and assurances of a thorough investigation and justice.

According to the Air Force, a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has already begun, guaranteeing that any personnel found guilty of violating the Air Force’s code of conduct will face all punishment, in accordance with its commitment to justice and accountability.

“We sincerely regret the loss of a life, and we have reached out to the deceased’s family to offer our condolences and assurances of a thorough investigation and justice.”

“A thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is already being conducted.” According to the statement, “anyone found guilty will face the full force of the law,” according to the statement.

Akinboyewa claims that NAF is still a highly regulated, professional organization that upholds the highest standards of conduct in all activities.
