My Chemical Romance, a rock group, made a moving statement after their drummer passed away last week.

Bob Bryar, who was the drummer for the hit band between 2004 to 2014, was found dead in his Tennessee home on Wednesday, just a day before Thanksgiving. His cause of death is yet to be confirmed. Officials have confirmed that Bryar’s death is not being treated as suspicious because his home’s remaining weapons and musical equipment were unaltered.

Now, his former bandmates have spoken out about the tragedy, as they requested “patience and understanding” from the public.

The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process Bob’s passing, according to a statement shared with Rolling Stone magazine.

Bryar was last seen on November 4 at the end of this month. After discovering his death, TMZ reported that Animal Control visited Bob’s home to get rid of two dogs after discovering his severely decomposed body. The rock star’s death is currently being investigated by a medical examiner.

Shortly after the release of their 2004 album Cheers For Sweet Revenge, Bryar took over as MCR’s original drummer Matt Pelissier. On their massive 2006 album The Black Parade, he also contributed to their songwriting efforts for their 2010 album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.

Prior to the release of Danger Days, Bob left MCR to work for other bands before resigning from the music industry to work in real estate.

Chester Bennington, a late Linkin Park singer who passed away by suicide in July 2017 at the age of 41, was the subject of Bryar’s tragic death. Following the death of the lead singer, Linkin Park wasdissolved. However, Emily Armstrong, the band’s vocalist, joined as the band’s lead singer earlier this year, and they underwent a change. The group is scheduled to tour the world in 2025 after releasing a chart-topping new album.

Emily was last seen in public the day before Bryar took to social media to express his gratitude for her contributions to the rock band. On Twitter/X, he wrote: “Emily armstrong is destroying, shredding faces and making Chester proud. she was the perfect choice. AND she had to deal with the initial resentment. that s**t is hard. trust me. word up”.
