Miley Cyrus has ‘no interest’ in reconnecting with dad as family fall out hits new low

Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter, Miley Cyrus, plans to stay away from him.

According to sources, Miley has no romantic ties to the Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker, despite the fact that the musicians have recently had a strained relationship. It is claimed that she and the country icon haven’t “been a long time” in touch.

However, Billy Ray’s performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration has caused tensions between the famous family to recently be at an all-time low. Billy Ray’s performance was branded a “trainwreck” with those closest to him saying they didn’t recognise the singer. Due to technical issues, his performance wasn’t as smooth as he might have anticipated. He ended up playing Old Town Road without proper equipment as he attempted to celebrate Trump’s re-election to the White House. He tried singing a cappella but was overheard enticing the band to check if his guitar was working.

Speaking to People magazine, a source said: “Miley used to feel overwhelmed by the family drama. She worked hard to remove herself. She’s not about to get involved again. She’s in a great place now. She’s thriving and looking out for herself”. Another source also revealed to Page Six that she is avoiding contact with her father in the near future and is keeping herself out of the drama.

However, they added that Miley had caught Billy Ray’s performance at The Capitol and found it “concerning”, while younger sister Noah is also “concerned” but loves her father “unconditionally”. Miley, however, has previously praised her dad, famously on David Letterman’s Netflix series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

She continued, “He always has a foot on the ground to the real and the natural, even when he was extremely well-known.” I appreciate having the opportunity to watch him in his place. He’s almost given me this map. And there’s a map of what to do and what not to do, and he’s guided me on both”, before adding that she “inherited the narcissism” from her dad.

Trace, Billy Ray’s son, claimed earlier this week that Trace shared a photo of him and Billy with his father when he was younger and that he “barely recognizes” him. Tish Cyrus and Bexter Neal Helson, Billy’s ex-wife, have children. When he was four-years-old, Billy adopted him. Trace made a desperate plea in which he stated, “I can’t recall anything that was so obsessed with you and thought you were the coolest person ever.”

I aspired to be like you, exactly. The day I was adopted was the most joyful day of my life. Unfortunately, I no longer recognize the man I so desperately desired to be. Everyone but you seems to have seen how you have been defeated by this world. I apologize for posting this, but I really couldn’t care at this point.

“You’ve pushed all of us away, but you’ve really worried about you for years, both of us,” the girls complained. You haven’t even lived up to Noah’s desire, even though she has. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. She still idolizes you, though, just like I do.
