Michelle Keegan ‘being targeted for TV show with Mark Wright’ after pregnancy bombshell
Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan, who are expecting, are alleged to have been looking into a new TV project.
The couple, both 37, announced last month that they are expecting a baby together. In a joint post shortly after Christmas, they teased her about how special this year will be for them, along with a photo of her baby bump.
Following the Christmas break, Michelle has since returned to work on Sky’s comedy-drama Brassic. She recently appeared on the set of the popular show as part of the seventh series’ production, which was preparing to welcome the new addition.
She may be approached to appear in a docuseries with Heart Radio host Mark, according to reports. There’s speculation that the couple are being considered for a fly-on-the-wall show about their “journey into parenthood”.
Michelle and radio host Mark are “such a TV power couple,” according to a source who spoke to the Sun. They continued, claiming that potential docuseries proposals are currently being written up.
The source continued, “A few production companies are writing up propositions to see if they’d allow in cameras to follow them becoming parents.” They then added: “These fly-on-the-wall shows are huge on ITV, as well as streamers like Prime, and there is a huge audience that would love an insight into Michelle and Mark’s world”.
No formal approaches have been made, but the offers are about to be made, the source add. “It’s all just in the planning stages.” Then Michelle, the actor, was reportedly considering cutting off the filming of Brassic for later this year.
The source said that she’s “pedal to the metal” on the show at the moment, adding that she’s “finishing up her scenes” ahead of taking a “break”. Although Michelle is reportedly required to finish her work “in about three weeks,” they said her co-stars would continue to work until around May.
Michelle and Mark, who have been dating for more than ten years, first revealed their pregnancy in a post on Instagram last month. Fans and famous people on the platform at the time expressed happiness over the joint post.
Michelle once described that intrusion as “horrible” and the couple has been questioned about whether they will have children over the years. As previously reported by the Mirror, she said: “It’s horrible. People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s happening. In this day and age, you shouldn’t be asking questions like that. I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. But I’m immune to it now – it’s like a reaction, and as soon as I hear it I brush it off as it’s no one else’s business”.
