Following a crash in his silver Ferrari on Saturday afternoon, West Ham forward Michail Antonio fractured his lower limb.

After the serious accident in Essex, which left the striker trapped inside his £260,000 car for nearly an hour while the emergency services battled to free him from the wreckage, his football career may be uncertain. Debbie Whittle and Michael, 34, once had a fourth child, but the couple split up after their third child was born. They first met in January 2011, and they soon became close friends before getting married in 2017 at a lavish home in Staffordshire.

The Jamaican forward has had to deal with some difficult situations in his career, including growing up with West Ham and becoming the team’s top scorer in the Premier League with 68 goals. He claimed that he had once considered leaving his lucrative career and that the Original Penguin X Campaign Against Living Miserably Under The Surface podcast was his second appearance.

Following the collision in Essex (Social Media), the player’s Ferrari suffered serious damage.

Thankfully, Debbie was a huge support. Although I enjoy dealing with emotions and dealing with situations, tears were just falling from my bed, according to Michail. “My Mrs was laying next to me in bed and I didn’t say anything, just tears falling – she looked up and said ‘ Are you alright? ‘ and I said ‘ Yeah, I’m fine’. She said ‘ You can’t be fine, you’re crying ‘ and I just said ‘ ‘ I don’t know if I want to play football anymore’.

Talking with the player’s wife, brother, and agent relieved the pressure, letting the player move forward. In case his country was called up, Debbie, the supportive wife of Debbie, made a huge sacrifice for him by having their wedding just 20 minutes away from St George’s Park, the home of the England football team, instead of their anticipated Italian destination wedding.

” We planned it just in case I got a call-up for England, “the player told The Mirror at the EA Sports FIFA 18 launch event. ‘ The wedding was incredibly important to us in Italy. But we decided, just in case I received a call-up, that we’ll just do it there. And then I got injured.

My girlfriend Debbie reportedly said, “We could have got married in Italy! ” But at least I was there for the honeymoon”.

The player has made over 300 appearances for his (Getty Images) football team.

The former couple have four children together, Junior, Miles, Myla and their youngest. Following the accident, Debbie rushed to the star’s bedside from her Manchester home in London.

Michael admitted earlier this year that he had had a hard time figuring out their divorce, which occurred shortly after West Ham won the Europa Conference League. “After we won, the whole team went out, the gaffer went out, got steaming, a couple of boys didn’t sleep for two days, just got drunk for two days”, he said.

“I left the hotel after falling asleep on the coach.” I returned to the hotel and slept while everyone was out partying, just mentally exhausted from everything that was happening outside of my football team. It wasn’t until probably December where I was in a better place where I was like ‘ Oh my God, I’ve won a European championship'”.
