Meranda Is Lagos Assembly Speaker, Lawmakers Reply Obasa
The former house speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, who is clamoring that he continue to be the speaker, has made a statement that the Lagos State House of Assembly has taken.
It is crucial to clarify that over two-thirds of the state assembly members are in support of the new Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, according to a statement signed by Ogundipe Olukayode on behalf of the Assembly.
Nothing, according to the lawmakers, could change the impeachment of Obasa as speaker on January 13th.
The assembly members are owed the public good governance and a harmonious relationship with other branches of government, according to Olukayode, as the people of Lagos’ elected representatives.
