Meghan Markle is facing yet another royal diary clash with the launch of her new podcast. Fresh off the back of her panned Netflix series With Love, Meghan, it has been revealed that the Duchess is launching a podcast called ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’.

As she launched her own lifestyle brand, As Ever, Meghan described the venture as “candid conversations” with “amazing women” about the success and struggles of their businesses. The eight-part series, which was launched with Lemonada Media, will debut tomorrow with the first episode being accessible for viewing on April 8.

And it’s launch is set to clash with a major event for King Charles and Queen Camilla with the podcast coming right in the middle of their upcoming trip to Italy. It was confirmed by Buckingham Palace last week that the King and Queen would be heading to both Rome and Ravenna from April 7 to April 10.

The historic tour, exclusively revealed earlier this year by The Mirror, will also see the couple visit the Vatican with a meeting with frail Pope Francis also on the cards due to his improving outlook after he left hospital yesterday. The trip will also see Charles and Camilla in Italy for their 20th wedding anniversary on April 9.

However, it is not the first time that projects by Meghan and Prince Harry have appeared to clash with major royal events. In 2022, the trailer for their explosive Netflix documentary was released when the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Boston for the Earthshot Prize.

Meghan, who was still a working royal at the time, is said to have left Camilla “very upset” after photos were released as she delivered the historic speech. The publication of the photos of Meghan’s private visit to the National Theatre on the same day is alleged to have broken her pledge to stop domestic violence against Camilla.

Earlier this month, Meghan wrote on her Instagram account that she was “so excited” to share the news of her podcast, describing recording the series as “absolutely eye-opening, inspiring…and fun!” The former Suits actress added: “Because what’s the point if we can’t have some fun on this wild adventure?” She said the women had shared their “tips, tricks (and tumbles)” as well as “letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business, As ever”.

While Charles will make his first official visit to St Paul’s Basilica in Italy, which was St Paul’s last resting place since the reformation, and address both houses of the Italian parliament, will mark two milestones.

The monarch and his wife will attend a black-tie state banquet at the Palazzo Quirinale, which the president hosted, along with the country’s president Sergio Mattarella and prime minister Giorgia Meloni.

The Italian Air Force’s aerobatic team, Frecce Tricolori, and the RAF’s Red Arrows will perform a joint flypast over Rome as other highlights of the trip.

Charles and Camilla will celebrate the province’s 80th anniversary on April 10, 1945, at a town hall reception in Ravenna, near Bologna, and will visit Dante’s tomb for a solo visit to the Byron museum.
