Meghan Markle’s longtime friend shares secret message for duchess in new book

Lindsay Jill Roth, Meghan Markle’s long-time friend, has left a moving dedication in her new book.

The TV producer made the special nod to the duchess in her book Romances &amp, Practicalities: A Love Story (Maybe Yours!) in 250 Questions, which was released today.

But it is understood Meghan, 43, is yet to read the acknowledgement, which Lindsay penned in a homage to her friend’s “deep loyalty and understanding”.

Meghan Sussex and Meg’s dedication reads, “My favorite aspect of our unbreakable bond is to be sisters by choice, still thinking the same thing at the same time after all these years, no matter how many miles we travel.” There for each other always, sharing a deep loyalty and understanding — I could tell you anything, and it would be okay. My heart is in yours, I tell you.

Lindsay, who also works in event management, met Meghan during their time at at Northwestern University. Prior to the release of the book, Lindsay revealed to People that she had not communicated Markle the dedication message.

When the book is released, I’ve saved that as a small token for her. I think it’s rare to find friends who love you unconditionally, and I’ve been lucky in my life to have a few who I truly consider family. It’s almost like those words aren’t enough”, the author added.

In 2021, Lindsay defended the Duchess of Sussex after Markle’s former aides accused her of bullying. Roth said Markle has “always” operated from a place of “kindness” and “goodwill”.

Writing at the time, the TV producer penned: “I know this to be true after 22 years of very close friendship. I have seen firsthand how she treats her friends and their families, and her colleagues”, she wrote at the time.
