Meghan Markle makes bold career move as she launches online clothing store

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has set up an online store where her devoted followers can purchase some of her favorite outfits and jewelry.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has introduced an online shop where she promotes products she believes in. This move marks the 43-year-old’s latest business endeavour since stepping away from royal duties, with the announcement made on Monday through a video and a message about her new e-store.
“Many of you have asked, so here you go,” she wrote in her note. To kick off the week, a little shopping is needed. A sleeveless ” Windsor” gown, which is sold for more than £1, 000, Saint Laurent sandals, which are priced at $600, and earrings, are among the handpicked fashion items featured in the shop, which is hosted on ShopMy.
Heidi Merrick, Reformation, and J Crew are other names that were chosen. As Ever, Meghan’s upcoming lifestyle brand, a rebrand of her American Riviera Orchard business, is on the rise as anticipation mounts for the launch.
Meghan is expected to earn a commission on sales made through ShopMy, the launch of which comes after fierce criticism of her new Netflix series, ‘With Love, Meghan’, which was recently renewed for a second season despite negative reviews.
Some third-party website, including Neiman Marcus, went down shortly after the store went live as customers rushed to buy a pair of Saint Laurent mules that Meghan had been seen wearing. The collection primarily consists of handbags, sweaters, linen shirts, and other wardrobe staples in neutral tones.
Meghan has also hinted at more developments to come for As Ever, which has undergone a significant rebranding ahead of its official launch. She and husband Prince Harry, 40, who left their roles as senior royals in January 2020, are said to have a private fortune of approximately £34million and have pursued multiple business ventures, including book deals, public speaking engagements, and brand partnerships.
The couple’s break from the royal family was a result of restrictions on their business. They claimed in their statement at the time that they had been “prohibited from earning any income in any form” and that they had forfeited their taxpayer-funded Sovereign Grant.
Meghan recently shared one of her most personal photos yet showing Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet before launching the brand new ventre. Taking to her brand account on Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex posted the photo showing her holding Lilibet while Archie sweetly hugs her leg.
The snap, taken in the garden, shows Lilibet and Meghan holding baskets for collecting fruit, with both youngsters’ vibrant red hair, which matches their father Prince Harry’s, on full show. Meghan and her three-year-old daughter wear matching straw hats while Archie wears dark jeans. The post, which did not show the children’s faces, was captioned “Every day is a love story” alongside a dove of peace emoji.
Harry and Meghan rarely share family photos, but Meghan has since started posting on her As Ever brand Instagram account as well as more of her own photos of their children.
Earlier this month, she posted a video on her Instagram account showing her children helping her make cookies, but again their faces were not visible.
And at the end of last year, Harry and Meghan featured a snap of their children in their annual Christmas card, showing the children running into their parents’ arms. It seems that the reason for not showing their faces comes down to Harry’s fears.
According to a source, Harry has been reluctant to publicly show his kids because he doesn’t want to protect them from potential threats, but rather to protect their privacy and safety. Without fear of kidnapping or harm, he wants them to lead as normal a life as possible.
