Meghan Markle issues bold three-word plea after ‘lonely’ time in Royal Family

In a seemingly pointed dig at her time in the Royal Family, Meghan Markle has made a bold plea in advance of the Christmas season.

When Prince Harry got engaged and then wed, the Duchess of Sussex famously gave up her acting career and life in the United States. However, after less than two years as a working royal Meghan, along with Harry, quit life in the UK and headed to California. Meghan claims she first came to the UK because she felt “lonely” when she first arrived, and that she underwent few adjustments to her royal life. She also said she found it ‘ jarring ‘ that the royals weren’t ‘ huggers ‘ like herself.

Meghan, who is now residing in California and supporting various charitable organizations, hosted a pre-holiday dinner for Afghan women who had fled their countries and have since re-located to the United States. The Welcome Project, an initiative of Archewell and Mina’s List, “support the development of programming for women who have recently resettled from Afghanistan.”

Meghan was questioned about how Americans can support newcomers’ holiday feelings in an interview with Marie Claire during the event. And telling she told the magazine: “It’s really easy. Just consider how you would like someone to treat you and how you would like someone to “open their arms to you”?

The couple has spent every holiday season in California and hasn’t yet returned for a big royal Christmas with the rest of the Firm since sensationally leaving the UK and moving to the US. Although it hasn’t been confirmed, the Sussexes appear to be staying in California for the holidays, which is highly unlikely. And Meghan has revealed what the Sussex family might get up to for Christmas. She claimed that Archie and Lilibet are now five and three, and that “every year it gets better.” She added that she “loves the holidays.”

She told the publication: “At first, I think as a mom with children you’re just enjoying having them there, but they’re not understanding everything that’s happening yet. However, we are now at a point where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.

Meghan said she was constantly making sure the family had a fun time at Christmas. She continued, “As with any other family, you pass the time enjoying a delicious meal before what?” Play games, all the same stuff, someone brings a guitar—fun”.

She also explained why Archie and Lilibet should have traditions in mind, such as roasting carrots for the reindeer on Christmas Eve.

The royals are expected to travel to Norfolk to the Sandringham estate to observe the holiday season, with a traditional Christmas Eve service followed by a seasonal feast. Since the late Queen’s death, King Charles has carried on the custom of inviting the whole of the family to the celebration.

Harry and Meghan may have been invited this year, but even that would present a significant stumbling block, as it appears that only one significant thing will change before the Sussexes can arrive. Harry does not feel he can bring Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet to his home country, according to The Telegraph, unless he can overturn a Home Office decision that he is not immediately entitled to police protection while living there.

After being informed that he would no longer receive the “same degree” of publicly funded protection while in the country, Harry was suing the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) decision in February of that year.

The court was told that Harry believes his children, Archie and Lilibet cannot “feel at home” in the UK if it is “not possible to keep them safe” there. Harry stated in a written statement at a previous hearing of the case that “the UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home, as well as where they currently reside in the United States. If it’s impossible to keep them safe on British soil, that won’t happen.

Given my life experiences, I am reluctant to put myself in harm’s way because I can put my wife in danger like that. “Harry received permission to appeal the decision, but he lost his claim earlier this year.”
