Mbappe ‘Happy’ To Be Back With France National Team

As he prepares to win his first international cap against Croatia in the Nations League quarter-finals, Kylian Mbappe expressed his happiness on Wednesday on the return of his France team-mates.
At a press conference in Split, France captain Mbappe stated, “I feel good, I feel happy to be playing football, I feel happy to be here.”
The 26-year-old was forced to miss two games in October because of injury, and another two in November when Didier Deschamps decided to rest him as he transitioned to his new club Real Madrid.

Mbappe, however, stated he was “delighted to be back with the group” ahead of Thursday’s first-leg encounter in Croatia.

We talk pretty much always, according to the majority of the team-mates present. Some of them and I take them on vacation. It’s a pleasure to be present. People may have been outside watching the situation, but it’s always been known internally, he continued.
The 2018 World Cup champion made a long-awaited move to Real Madrid last summer, but he admits he had trouble achieving his best form for the reigning Spanish and European champions.
Mbappe also found himself in the spotlight last fall when Swedish media reported on a rape investigation involving an alleged name-as-apparence incident. The Swedish courts ended the case without prosecuting anyone, though, in December.
“A career is not linear,” he said. You must refocus on your happiness and resume your work. If I had to make changes? Looking back at the year’s end, Mbappe said, “I would have played better.”
On Thursday, France travels to Croatia in Split, followed by the return game at the Stade de France in Paris.
