Maya Jama breaks silence on Ruben Dias relationship as she hints at major career change

This week, Maya Jama responded to rumors about her relationship with football player R. Dias.

It’s been reported that Maya, 30, and Rúben, 27, have been dating for a couple of weeks. Rben, the Love Island host, and Rben, reportedly met at the Manchester City player’s MTV Europe Music Awards in November. According to reports of the pair having spent New Year’s Eve together, R. B. R.’s post celebrating the new year’s eve sparked rumors of romance. He took a picture of two people squatting together while watching the sunset.

Although she responded to comments about the speculation this week, neither Maya nor Rben have confirmed a romance. On Tuesday, the Masked Singer panelist responded to a number of posts from an X-platform account. The account posted about people who “sit on the internet all day and obsess about people they don’t know and their relationship,” in response to Zendaya’s ostensible engagement to fellow actor Tom Holland. Maya provided screenshots of the account’s earlier tweets in the tweet.

One of my earlier posts addressed the “relationship” between Maya and Rben, who split from her ex Stormzy in July of last year. Beside laughing emojis, the account replied: “She don’t rest”. Later, they wrote in a post that “female jumpers from relationships to relationships are frightful.”

Sharing the screenshots alongside the account’s post about people ‘ obsessing ‘ over other people’s relationships, Maya wrote: “Oh]laughing emojis]… but..]shrugging emoji]”. The account later responded: “Lol hi Maya! Saying you don’t rest once is not obsessive. Good sense of humour though”. Recently, Maya and Rben reportedly met at the MTV EMAs at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester on November 10 and have reportedly been romantically linked. According to legend, the relationship “upped a gear” the following month.

Maya and Ruben reportedly had dinner with one of her pals in Ibiza on January 1st, according to a report earlier this month. According to previous reports, they were allegedly seen in a blurry snap that appeared on social media. After being ruled out of several matches by an injury, it has been claimed that Rben “jumped at the chance” to celebrate the New Year with Maya. A source told the Sun: “]They] swapped details at the EMAs and have chatted since, but things went up a gear in early December”.

The source added: “Spending New Year’s Eve together was a real step forward in their relationship”. The source went on to claim that Maya and Rúben “get on really well” and “make a gorgeous couple”, but said that “it’s early days”. Amid the speculation, Maya is returning as host of Love Island: All Stars for its second series, which launches next week. The presenter made fun of her interest in acting in the future ahead of the launch.

She has stated that she wants to pursue acting, as the Sun reported. Maya – who previously had a role in Netflix’s the Duchess – said: “I think I just want to enjoy the year and be open to all opportunities. I’d like to explore acting as well, just to put the feelers out there”.
