Maura Higgins’ brutal punishment for cheating ex resurfaces after Danny Jones kiss

The 33-year-old reality TV star, who became famous after discovering her then-boyfriend was cheating on her, abruptly broke up with him after starting Love Island’s fifth season.

Days after Maura and McFly singer Danny, 38, were spotted kissing at a BRITS afterparty, a confession has come out. They appeared to have had a brief drunken kiss, according to a source at the ceremony that took place after the lavish ceremony at London’s O2 Arena.

In November, Maura and Danny first met in the Australian jungle. Maura shared her previous tale of deception and payback with I’m A Celebrity campmates Danny and Jane Moore at the time because she was connected to TOWIE and Strictly’s Pete Wicks.

When Jane inquired about Maura’s travel to Love Island, the brunette beauty responded, “So I had a boyfriend at the time,” and went on to say that she was shocked when she discovered vile messages on his phone, giving the impression that she “didn’t know him at all.

She then described her revenge plan as “I had a plan and no word of a lie,” and that he had a dentist appointment that day. “I had a plan and a lie when he went to the gym the following day.

When Maura admitted, “I considered taking a dump on it,” her fellow campmates were shocked. Danny was at the time and reacted with the exclamation, “You don’t wanna mess with Maura.” The Love Island star then explained how the incident had compelled her to enter the villa with conviction, saying, “I went in like a bull in a china shop because I was so upset about that entire thing.”
