Married At First Sight UK star shares heartbreaking loss as she says ‘I blame myself’

Sacha Jones, a married At First Sight UK star, has admitted she has suffered a devastating loss and is to blame herself.

The 29-year-old reality TV personality confirmed Diego’s passing on social media. After suffering from long-term illness, she announced that the black and white feline had passed away early in the morning.

She quickly accepted that his death was her fault and that she ought to have pushed for sooner medical examinations of him. The animal was scheduled to have a number of scans, but sadly passed away. He’s been ill for a while and tried a number of different medications, but now I’ll never fully understand why he passed, Sacha wrote in a caption captioned Instagram “he was scheduled for scans and tests today.” But perhaps I should have pushed you to get yours sooner.

She also criticized her own choice to leave the cat while he was ill, saying, “I definitely shouldn’t of left you for those few days I was away. I just thought you’d be fine at your nanny and grandad’s and vet’s didn’t seem too concerned. I feel like it’s all my fault”.

In reference to how the animal had previously assisted her, Sacha continued, “I took him to the emergency vet but there was nothing they could do. I brought him home and he breathed his last breath in my arms. You once saved my life Diego, i’m so sorry I couldn’t save yours. I genuinely believed I was doing everything I could.

She asked her followers how she is supposed to deal with the pain of losing Diego, confessing: “It feels so empty]the home]. When you jump on my bed, I just want to feel the thump. I haven’t left my bed. I can’t stop screaming and crying. How could this ever be explained to me? And go on as normal? You were too young. Too hearty and love-filled. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more”.

Her support messages were quickly received by her supporters. One user wrote: “Awh Sacha I’m so sorry. Everything you’re feeling is so so valid – it’s so hard to lose an animal. You are unmatched in your love for an animal. They become your children, your family. Never hold yourself accountable, and take good care of yourself! Sending love”.

Another added: “I’m so sorry this breaks my heart, they really leave a hole in your heart, while a third said:” Omg I’m lost for words. So sorry. Praying for you. “
