Magic survive to hit back against Celtics in play-offs

In their play-off series against the NBA champions, the Orlando Magic fought back to equalize the deficit.

With two minutes and 31 seconds left, Franz Wagner’s consecutive goals on Friday earned Boston a 95-93 victory at home.

In the Eastern Conference play-offs first round, Magic now leads Magic by 2-1. On Sunday, the best-of-seven series will return to Orlando.

Boston held the lead for the majority of the fourth quarter before coming back from a 12-point deficit to win it 91-91.

Then, Wagner scored twice over Kristaps Porzingis to finish with 32 points, the highest scorer for his team.

LeBron James made a game-high 38 points in his first game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he was unable to stop the Los Angeles Lakers from scoring 116-104.

The Timberwolves put on a strong first-round performance by leading the Western Conference by 2-1 with 30 points scored by Jaden McDaniels and 29 by Anthony Edwards.

Luka Doncic, the Lakers’ player, tied the score at the final four minutes 37 seconds, but the hosts continued to lead 13-1 going into the final four minutes thanks to the Lakers’ 17-point run.

James shot 13 for 21 on three three-pointers in the fourth quarter, including three three-pointers.

According to Edwards, “He was shooting it from Yucatan.” He claimed that he was crazy when shooting.

JJ Redick, the Lakers’ coach, stated: “He’s moving better. He seems to be improving day by day.

After falling 117-101 to the visiting Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference, Minnesota and the Milwaukee Bucks will once again be at home on Sunday.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Gary Trent Jr. each scored 37 points as the Bucks fought back to reduce the series deficit to 2-1.
