Everton are back in trouble after only three victories in the Premier League season.

The Toffees’ survival battle appears to be waning, just one point above the relegation zone, and it appears to be one more.

The team has lost some creativity, the goals have dried up, and the fan base seems to have gotten old.

Sean Dyche, manager, has been in charge of the club’s top flight for the past two seasons, but questions are being raised about his future as a result of the club’s recent poor performance, contract expiring at the end of the season, and the takeover of the Friedkin Group, which has ushering in a new era.

The Blues travel to League One strugglers Peterborough on Thursday, a winless team that has won five games, knowing defeat won’t help Dyche’s cause.

A report on Monday suggested owners the Friedkin Group are “reviewing” his work and Dyche, speaking in his pre-match news conference on Tuesday, said: “To be clear, it should be]reviewed].

I have no objection to the phrase “Seconditure planning surely should be a part of their diligence” in the end of the day for a company this size.

It should continue at any football club as part of any “normal” business that involves other sports. I don’t really care about that, but I must win games.

Everton are “tough to watch,” according to “Turnback.”

On Monday evening, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher produced a damning breakdown of Everton’s creativity, calling them a” throwback “to Premier League teams of the 1990s.

Before his arrival in January 2023, Dyche has emphasized that goalscoring has been a problem at the club for “four or five years” or “a” long time.

Everton has scored a disappointing 15 goals in their 19 league games, with only Southampton, who is currently on pace for the Premier League’s lowest points total, having scored 12 more than that.

The reading is grim if you delve deeper into the numbers:

  • In both their goalless draw at Arsenal last month and their 1-0 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday, they had no shots on target.

Everton haven’t scored in 11 of their 19 games this season, according to former Toffees midfielder Leon Osman, according to BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club (MNC). Due to the nature of the situation, it is challenging to write commentary on their games right now.

Anyone who will tell you, you should still be creating chances and scoring goals, in my opinion, is that the squad lacks quality. It is tough to watch.

‘ A manager out of ideas &amp, fanbase on it’s knees ‘

Due to their predetermined play, Everton’s strikers have struggled to fire: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (2), Beto (1), and Armando Broja have each scored three goals in a row.

With three goals coming in, Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil lead the team, and McNeil’s performance is stark when he is not on the side.

McNeil is a player Dyche can rely on because of his experience at Burnley, but the 25-year-old has missed the last five games with a knee injury.

Everton plays in the final third key to the team’s success, scoring three goals in addition to his goals this year and creating 33 chances, with Ashley Young and Abdoulaye Doucoure coming in at number 17 with 17 respectively.

” No shots on target. No attacking intent. That seems to be the MO]method of operation] currently, “Toffees fan Mike Richards wrote for BBC Sport’s Fan’s Voice.

” Bournemouth fans taunted us with: ‘ How do you watch this every week? ‘ We’ve come to be a bit of a laughingstock.

“A manager with no ideas and a sour fan base.”

Asked if the fans are still on his side, Dyche replied: “They can decide that. Never have I questioned them.

Will Dyche see out the season?

After completing their purchase of Everton in December, The Friedkin Group will be conducting an evaluation of every aspect of the club.

The position of boss Dyche will be the most pressing issue, and they now have to make a decision: whether to try to keep him in charge and hope they stay, or to roll the dice and make a change?

There are numerous reports, which have not been verified by BBC Sport, that Everton are in talks with Graham Potter, who is unemployed.

On Tuesday, Dyche claimed that BBC Sport had approached both Everton and Potter to make a comment and that the owners “never” have.

After their points deductions last season, Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) are ringing loud in Everton’s ears, according to Dyche, who stated that there are “conditions” to signing players this month and doing transfer business in January.

Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton stated on MNC that Sean Dyche has been criticized for being unable to spend, and that he feels a large fan base has turned against him.

Everton will remain in the Premier League after the takeover, moving to a new stadium next season, and moving on. Due to the direction things have taken, I believe Dyche will be fortunate to be there next season.

Former Liverpool defender Carragher claimed Dyche is still the best choice for the position based on his analysis of Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, claiming that his success with Burnley and Everton gives the club a “great chance” of survivability.

“Sean Dyche would remain there for me because it almost guarantees me,” he said.

It’s crucial they are in this division next season because they have a stadium coming.

A defiant Dyche said on Tuesday:” Here, it has been extremely difficult. There is a lot of pressure on me, on the situation, and it is a constant throughout Everton life.

“I’ve changed, taken it on, had my knocks and got them again,” he said, “and it’s about how you handle it.”
