Love Island star selling clothes for as little as £3 three years after villa stint

A former Love Island star has revealed that they are one of the famous people who have sold clothing on the online marketplace Vinted for between £3 and £300.

A former Love Island finalist is among the celebrities selling clothes through an online marketplace. The reality TV star has a variety of items listed on their account that range in price from a couple of pounds all the way up to £300.

Dami Hope, now 28, rose to fame on the ITV2 show in 2022 and reached the final with his partner Indiyah Polack, now 26. They placed third, with the eighth series instead won by Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, both now 30.

Dami has collaborated with various brands on social media since moving to the villa, including modeling various outfits throughout the years. The former islander has also established Snow Bunny, a clothing company.

And amid growing interest in ‘pre-loved fashion,’ in a post on his Instagram Story earlier this weekend, Dami shared with his followers that he has an account on marketplace Vinted. He showcased some clothes that he was preparing to list on the platform and they are now visible on there.

“Getting rid of some bits on @vinted,” Dami wrote on Saturday. He stated that he would also post to Grailed, another online marketplace, and shared his account name with @hopecollections365. He continued, “Gonna upload to grumble later.”

A photo that featured various clothing items on the ground had the caption written over it. A cream cardigan and a yellow and orange jumper were also included. According to what he knows, he previously modeled those items in Instagram posts, and they now show up on his Vinted profile.

On his page, the jumper from brand ERL is listed for £120.00 or £126.70 with “buyer protection,” and its condition is described as “very good.” The Casablanca cardigan is described as being in “good” condition and retailing for £300.00 with a “buyer protection” option of £315.70.

There are currently a number of other items listed on the page for Dami, who has a five star rating on the platform and more than 100 reviews. A pair of Levi’s trainers retailing for £50 and a PrettyLittleThing mini skirt retailing for £3 both come with them.

He’s among a host of other celebrities who have used the platform, with the likes of Rebekah Vardy having listed items for sale through Vinted. Boris Johnson’s wife Carrie Johnson is also said to be a fan of the platform.

Last month, it was reported that former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach had listed some items. The Strictly Come Dancing winner follows in the footsteps of celebrities like Ferne McCann, who’s previously promoted the site.

Some celebrities are said to have also used similar platform Depop, including Katie Price, in recent years. Fellow reality TV star Gemma Collins is known to have also put old clothes up for sale on that platform in the past.
