Love Island fans to see ‘real Luca Bish’ after original series ‘battered his confidence’
All Stars viewers will get a whole new perspective on Luca Bish.
The social media personality and former fishmonger first aired on the ITV dating program in June 2022, and fans soon started to adore her. Over the course of his time, fans saw the Brighton-native couple up with former paramedic, Paige Thorne, and Michael Owen’s daughter, Gemma Owen.
While on the show, Luca’s behaviour in the edit saw a string of complaints filed to TV watchdog, Ofcom. He later apologized for his actions, which were revealed during the program’s final edit. However, the Mirror revealed how he had been left blindsided when Gemma announced their split on social media without giving Luca a heads-up after leaving the show just months later.
The star was asked to appear on All Stars last year, but producers turned down the offer, The Mirror has now revealed. Instead, he chose to focus his energy on working alongside charities close to his heart and appearing on Celebrity MasterChef, during which, he reached the final.
A friend close to the 25-year-old told the Mirror: “Execs were on his case for the first All Stars which he turned down, and then again for this series. After winning the judges’ and public round, Luca returned to his self-assurance, which had taken a little beating.
We can’t wait for everyone to see the real Luca we know and love because he’s older, wiser, and less naive this time around. They continued, “They made it clear that the Luca they saw in the 2022 program is not a jokey person who exists outside of the villa.” Meanwhile, the show’s creators, who will begin in less than a week, are anticipating that he will “spread the beans” about his split.
In a statement released by the press about his decision to travel to South Africa and participate in All Stars, Luca said, “I had such a good time last time, why not? I get to enjoy myself and have the chance to date someone. “He’ll be joined by the likes of Gabby Allen, Elma Pazar, Olivia Hawkins, Ronnie Vint, Scott Thomas, Curtis Pritchard and Kaz Crossley.
In light of the allegations involving former host Gregg Wallace, which he vehemently denies, he later expressed his devastation after the show was pulled from Celebrity MasterChef. Taking to social media to address the episode which featured Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh and his pal, The Wanted’s Max George, he said:” Christmas is cancelled. We apologize but hope to be back on your screens soon because our Christmas special has been put on hold.
