Following a comment she made about Scott Thomas in the Love Island villa, Tina Stinnes’ fans have expressed their condolences.
Tina, 29, has been coupled-up with Scott, 36, on the ITV2 show for almost two weeks. While he has expressed doubts about their romance at the time, the co-stars have kept getting along while staying in the South African All Stars villa.
It was announced on Friday, ahead of that evening’s episode, that Scott had decided to leave the villa because he didn’t want to “force” a connection or “waste” her time amid his doubts. However, his departure has not yet been announced.
Following the arrival of new bombshell Omar Nyame, who inquired about the current state of the couples, Tina and Omar shared her thoughts on their romance on that night’s episode. Tina told him: “I’m coupled-up with Scott. It’s going well”. She went on to reference there having been some issues in their romance recently, saying: “We had a little blip once but it’s good. But still open”.
Fans on X shared their sadness for Tina, who was aware that Scott was going to leave the villa, even though she had not been known to her at the time of the comment. One viewer wrote: “Tina is about to be so blindsided. Ugh… yikes. She’s telling Omar is going so well with Scott”. Another user wrote in a post, “Aww Tina, if you knew this girl, she will be crying when Scott leaves.”
Someone else said: “Poor Tina thinks it’s still going well with Scott”. A fourth viewer wrote: “Awww Tina thinks she’s going strong with Scott”. Whilst one fan said on the platform: “Genuinely feel so bad for Tina, this girl has been led on”.
“Poor Tina don’t know what’s coming for her”, another viewer said. Sharing their thoughts, one fan wrote: “I feel so s**t for Tina, she seems like she’ll be completely blindsided by Scott leaving”. Someone else said: “I feel bad for Tina”. Alongside a teary-eyed emoji, one fan wrote: “I feel so bad for Tina. She literally believes that Scott and everything are going well together. One commentator stated, “Tina thinks she and Scott are doing well, and she thinks her and Scott are doing well,” in addition to a photo of a cat that was tearful.
After Tina arrived at the villa, Scott and Tina, who first met on Love Island in 2016, started to resemble one another. More recently though, she had become aware that he had doubts about their romance, with Luca Bish saying in a previous episode: “I think]Scott] wants to get far in here. And that’s why you’re with Tina and you’re not feeling it now”.
Following the news, Scott spoke to Tina and said: “I just don’t know if I’m fully in it”. They have since continued to spend time together in the villa, and even shared a few kisses, though. Scott also said that he was “so relieved” that Tina was saved from the latest dumping.
However, it was revealed on Friday that Scott had made the decision to leave the villa in the wake of the most recent reconciling. He has struggled to “push past his doubts” about their romance, which has reportedly grown in recent days, according to a source close to the Sun.
The source said that Scott was “unable” to move past the feeling that Tina “wasn’t right for him”, adding that his “biggest priority” was not “wasting her precious time” in the villa. According to the source, Scott decided to remove himself from the situation after taking a break from the dedicated Love Island welfare team. He has put in a lot of effort into self-love over the years, but he didn’t want to make a forced connection just for the sake of it.
