Steve-O, a former Love Island contestant, allegedly smuggled drugs into the villa when he allegedly made an appearance on the 2006 reality dating show.
Paul Danan, who was on the ITV series alongside Stacey Solomon’s Jackass star ex Steve-O, real name Stephen Gilchrist Glover, made the bold claim. Paul, a former Hollyoaks actor who tragically passed away last month at the age of 46, made the allegations in his final interview for the Outlet Ten Discussions Podcast.
Speaking about his and Steve-O’s stint on Love Island, Paul sensationally disclosed: “They]producers] didn’t search you or anything like that because we’re not stupid. No one’s gonna bring nothing on there. But guess who f***ing did?
” They got Steve O from Jackass, and he basically swallowed a load of f***ing whatever, and he was like s****ing it out! “Paul, who openly battled substance abuse issues throughout his adult life,” revealed that Steve-O cut off the top of an apple to make a homemade bong.
He added:” So there we are me and Steve-O just smoking away this apple, and you can hear ‘ Paul and Steve-O, can you come to the Beach Hut right now’. And they know they can’t use any of it obviously, and he got chucked out. They were like, ‘ you can’t do that, man. ‘ You know, of course not! “
Steve-O left the villa after a disagreement with some of the other Islanders, according to the time’s official statement from ITV. It read:” Steve-O became very emotional last night and again this morning, and was upsetting some of the other celebrities. We then decided that he should return home. He has been great entertainment since he arrived on Monday, and we thank him for his contribution. “
The Mirror has contacted Steve-O’s reps and ITV for comment on this story, the latter declined.
Almost ten years after his Love Island performance, stuntman Steve-O and Loose Women star and X Factor winner Stacey Solomon had a brief relationship. After they appeared on the Channel 4 winter sports competition show The Jump in 2015, they were able to make an unlikely match.
Despite Steve-O forming a bond with Stacey Solomon’s children, who were still very young at the time, he ‘ ghosted ‘ the presenter and their relationship fizzled out. Since then, Steve-O, who spoke in the past about his previous sex addiction, has opened about his habit of suddenly ending relationships with women.
Writing in his memoir, A Hard Kick in the Nuts, he said:” I lavished her with attention, I got what I wanted and then I broke it off. I’d become not only part of her life]but also] her kids ‘ lives too. And then – poof – I was gone”.
Elsewhere, Steve-O explained:” I’d meet some woman, pour on the charm to convince her I really cared about her (which I invariably thought I did) sleep with her a few times, then lose interest and ghost. “Speaking about his split with mum-of-five Stacey, he admitted:” To this day, I still beat myself up about the way it went down”.
