Lou Teasdale took to Instagram on Monday January 6 to mark her boyfriend Andy Carroll’s birthday, with a series of loved-up snaps on holiday together. The celeb make-up artist, 40, flew off to France with her new man to celebrate his 36th birthday, and the happy post is the first time she has marked the footballer’s birthday, after they got together following his split from TOWIE star Billi Mucklow.
Lou wrote “Happy birthday to my favorite person I ever met” along with the photo caption while the couple is having a romantic getaway in Megève, Mont Blanc. In one, taken in a photo booth, Lou and ex-England, Newcastle and Liverpool striker Andy were beaming with happiness, while in another Andy had his arm wrapped around Lou, and in a third, they shared a mirror selfie where he was kissing her head.
They followed up Andy’s photo of their picturesque mountain retreat with a view of the pair’s wine and wine pairing, which includes the snow-capped mountains outside their luxurious lodge.
Following Andy’s shock breakup from his wife Billi, the couple only made Instagram official over the Christmas holidays. The former couple, who got engaged in 2014, tied the knot in June 2022. They share three children – Arlo, nine, Wolf, six, and Marvel Mae, four, while Andy also has two children, aged 15, and 14, from a previous relationship.
In a statement at the time, Andy, who currently plays for French team FC Girondins de Bordeaux, said: “Billi and I have privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings. Our family has had a difficult few months, but we are still moving forward peacefully with our children.
The sporting star, however, has expressed his feelings for Lou in a candid manner about his new romance, saying, “I’ve seen a different world since I’ve been with Lou. This Christmas, like she does every Christmas, she will go with her daughter to look after the isolated elderly”. He added to The Times: “She’s a volunteer for Choose Love and a campaigner for LGBTQ+. She says to me, ‘ Why would you hate anyone? ‘ That’s someone I need in my life”.
After a now-infamous stag do scandal in which pictures emerged showing Andy lying in bed with two women in Dubai, their big day appeared to never occur. One of the girls, Taylor Jane Wilkey, was also seen posing in a bathroom wearing the footballer’s personalised dressing gown.
A furious Billi removed her $200,000 engagement ring and left their shared shared Essex home after the photos emerged on social media, but she eventually forgave Andy after barmaid Taylor revealed that “no sexual” activity occurred that evening. Andy left Amiens for his current club Bordeaux in August 2023, but it was unexpected that Billi and Andy chose to live alone in their Essex family home with the kids.
