With a first-half goal-streee at Anfield, Arne Slot’s team won the league for the second time in a row.

Dominik Szoboszlai’s 11th-minute opener fizzed past Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton from Ibrahima Konate’s assist.

In the 35th minute, Mohamed Salah scored his 23rd goal in all competitions this term with a fierce strike that doubled Liverpool’s lead.

It was also the Egypt forward’s 100th Premier League goal at Anfield.

Gakpo killed off Ipswich before half-time when he bundled home after Walton parried Szoboszlai’s shot in the 44th minute.

The Dutch forward netted again in the 66th minute, heading past Walton from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross.

Jacob Greaves ‘ stoppage-time diving header was little consolation for third-bottom Ipswich, who have conceded 10 goals in their last two league games.

Liverpool are now on track to win their first English title since 2020 with their 16th win out of 22 league games this year.

The quadruple-chasing Reds have a game in hand on second-placed Arsenal, who left it late before keeping the pressure on the leaders.

Arsenal, without ill captain Martin Odegaard, had Lewis-Skelly contentiously sent off for tripping Matt Doherty to stop a Wolves counter-attack in the 43rd minute.

Arsenal were furious after the cynical challenge because it was too far away from the goal to merit a red card.

The 18-year-old defender was sent off for “serious foul play,” according to the Premier League Match Centre’s official statement on social media.

In the 70th minute, Joao Gomes received a second booking for a foul on Jurrien Timber, but Wolves were also reduced to 10 men.

And in the 74th minute, Italy’s Riccardo Calafiori delivered a half-volley that struck the far post for Arsenal.

With a 5-0 defeat at the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth extended their club-record unbeaten run to defeat Nottingham Forest’s top four rivals.

After completing third-placed Forest’s impressive run of eight top-flight games win-loss, Andoni Iraola’s team are undefeated in their last 11 league games.

In his sixth of his last four games, Justin Kluivert scored for Bournemouth in the ninth minute.

Ouattara increased Bournemouth’s lead in the 55th minute when he nodded in from Kluivert’s cross.

The Burkinabe winger scored his second six minutes later, completing a memorable treble three minutes into the game.

In the final minutes, Bournemouth added their biggest victory of the season, beating Newcastle 4-1 at home.

With a 3-1 victory over Southampton at the bottom of the table, Alexander Isak led Newcastle to a fourth-place finish.

With a powerful header from James Bree’s cross in the tenth minute, Jan Bednarek gave Southampton the lead.

Isak scored from the penalty spot in the 26th minute after Joe Aribo had fouled the talented striker.

Isak made it 11 goals from his last eight games, and 19 for the season, when he finished a flowing move by converting Jacob Murphy’s 30th-minute pass.

Anthony Gordon’s pass sent Sandro Tonali sprinting clear to bag Newcastle’s third goal in the 51st minute.

With a 1-0 victory over Brighton, David Moyes became the third manager to win the Premier League and surpasses Moyes’ previous record of seven.

Only Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have won more Premier League games than Moyes, whose side won it for the second time in a row to move seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Iliman Ndiaye slotted home after Joel Veltman’s handball in the 42nd minute due to Brighton’s defenseman’s handball.
