Liam Gallagher teases new Oasis album as he praises songs written by Noel

This week, Liam Gallagher revealed his apparent reaction to unreleased Oasis music, which his brother Noel Gallagher had written.

Liam, 51, and Noel, 57, who last performed together in 2009, are reuniting for the Oasis Live ‘ 25 world tour. Richard Ashcroft, a fellow band member and supporter of Oasis, will support them at their UK and Irish gigs in the upcoming year.

Amid updates about the world tour, there’s been rumours of new music. In recent months, Liam has been teased over the idea of using X, formerly Twitter, and he recently made an appearance to share his opinion on Noel songs.

One fan asked him ahead of the tour: “What do you think of Noel’s new songs he’s written for Oasis”? Liam responded to the question by tweeting: “Blown away”. His Saturday response has received hundreds of likes on the platform.

Following the tweet, some fans expressed their excitement. One wrote: “Can’t wait for the album”. A second person asked: “When’s the new album coming out”? Another said: “I can’t wait to hear them”. Someone wrote: “AAAAAAHHHH”.

Others however questioned if Liam was being serious, with one person reacting: “New album confirmed”? Someone else said: “You’re lying”? Another said: “Stop messing with us”. While another fan remarked, “I’m starting to believe you if you keep saying that please spill a little more.”

Liam has previously teased that Oasis will be releasing a new album in previous tweets, which would be their first since Dig Out Your Soul in 2008. Last month, a fan asked: “Is it true that Oasis will have a new album??”? Liam replied: “Yep it’s already finished”. And when another fan speculated that an album is “in the air”, he said: “It’s in the bag mate f**k the air”.

Following the band’s announcement for a tour, there were rumors about the bandreleasing some fresh music in August. Noel could possibly invite his brother Liam to record new music with him, according to a source who spoke to the Sun at the time.

Noel knows the reunion is about the hits, but he doesn’t want them to be just a nostalgia act, the source said. If things continue to go well with Liam, it could be absolutely amazing if he has the tunes ready to go.

Noel was spotted outside a London recording studio just days before the news of Oasis’ eagerly awaited reunion, sparking speculation. However, he was not seen without his bandmate Liam at the city’s landmark.
