Oasis fans were offended by Liam Gallagher’s suggestion that the upcoming set-up for their tour would be less than an hour.

Fans were enthused about the high prices they paid for tickets on third-party websites because of his post on X, which was Twitter. Liam, the band’s lead singer, replied to a woman who flagged concerns about the set length, but said: “Just under 59 mins 59 secs”.

It divided opinion with some supporters confident the 52-year-old musician was joking, but others shared their concern. Days after the Gallagher brothers confirmed their reunion, hotels in the UK and abroad were sold out. One fan, preparing to see Oasis, replied: “Hardly, I spent so much money”. Another said: “No, Liam, no! Has to be longer”.

The comment made a mockery of the Wonderwall hitmaker, who claimed he was making up some of the crowd. They joked while hoping Oasis will continue to play until July when the tour starts.

Millions spent hundreds of pounds on the historic comeback after the company crashed Ticketmaster last year. Ticketmaster is, though, now under investigation for using “dynamic pricing” and increasing fees due to the high demand.

Oasis will perform 41 shows with the tour, which will finish in November in São Paulo, Brazil. It is thought Liam and Noel, who haven’t performed together for 15 years, will rake in a whopping £3, 000, 000 per show, meaning their take-home pay at the end of the world tour will be £100 million.

A statement from Oasis read, “The guns have fallen silent,” when the pair stunned everyone by confirming their long-running feud had ended. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised”.

The band’s formation in 1991 was swiftly followed by acclaim from fans everywhere. In the 1990s, they recorded three top-sellers and four chart-topping singles, establishing them as true British music icons.
