In a bid to address the challenges posed by insecurity and unemployment in his constituency, Bashir Usman Gorau, a federal legislator representing Gada/Goronyo distributed 150 motorcycles to selected members of the community.
The initiative, which took place during a well-attended event, is part of the lawmaker’s ongoing efforts to improve the socioeconomic well-being of his constituents.

According to the lawmaker, the distribution of motorcycles serves two key purposes: enhancing security by facilitating better mobility for neighbourhood watch groups and providing a means of livelihood for individuals through commercial transportation services.
The lawmaker noted that Insecurity has been a major challenge in the community, and one way to address it is by empowering the people with the tools they need to support themselves and contribute to the safety of their environment.

Beneficiaries of the initiative expressed their gratitude, noting that the motorcycles would greatly improve their economic situations and help reduce youth unemployment. Many plan to use the bikes for commercial purposes, such as operating motorcycle taxis, a common means of transportation in the area.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to introducing more people-oriented programs to tackle insecurity, unemployment, and other pressing issues in the constituency. The gesture was lauded by community leaders, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering development and addressing the root causes of crime.
