Laolu Akande Accuses Senate Of Ganging Up Against Senator Natasha

Laolu Akande, a former presidential spokesman, expressed concern over what he claimed is an attack on Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a lawmaker representing Kogi Central, on Thursday.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has vehemently refuted Akpoti-Uduaghan’s accusation of sexual harassment, which the latter has recently made.
Akande weighed in on the matter in an interview with Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, pressing the Senate to halt what he perceived as a gang-up against the lawmaker.
They must put an end to all these meetings, gatherings, and gangfights against this woman. That must end. He urged the Senate’s leadership to demonstrate that her allegations will be treated with care, he said.
If you believe there is a need to punish her for breaking the rules after that is resolved, that is the better course of action. The notion that all the men are out and brandishing the rules is unfunny in any way.
The entire world has been informed that this woman has been sexually harassed. The Nigerian Senate needs to be careful not to make the impression that we are trying to silence her.
“Many men have been speaking out, speaking out, and speaking to the media to run this woman down,” we’ve seen so far. Its portrayal of the Nigerian Senate is poor.

However, Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi has claimed that Natasha and her colleague Natasha are working for their own good.
Senator Natasha, a lawmaker representing Ebonyi North, claimed on the same show that Senator Akpabio or any other senator allegedly harassed her. Senator Natasha also claimed that Senator Akpabio or any other senator also caused her to lose the chairmanship of local content.  ,
Senator Natasha, according to him, “was the chair of the Senate Committee on Local Content with which she was comfortable.” However, committee leadership in the Senate changes frequently, and she is affected just like every other chairman.
She was moved to the Senate Committee on Diaspora, which Senator Natasha found problematic.
Senator Natasha’s petition against Akpabio was dismissed on Wednesday amid the sexual harassment and abuse of office allegations by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Public Petitions.
