Lakers, Clippers Games Postponed Due To Fires – NBA
The NBA announced late on Friday that the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers’ home games have been postponed because of ongoing wildfires in the city.
The Lakers’ game against the San Antonio Spurs and the Clippers’ game against the Charlotte Hornets were both eliminated from the schedule, according to the league’s statement.
Both games will be rescheduled for later dates.
The NBA and the Los Angeles and Inglewood organizations have spoken with local officials about the ongoing situation in the area, and game postponements prevent resources from being diverted from the wildfire response efforts, according to a statement from the NBA and the Clippers and Lakers.
