Lakers and Kings postpone games amid Los Angeles wildfires

Due to ongoing wildfires in the area, the Los Angeles Lakers have postponed Friday’s NBA game against the Charlotte Hornets.

NHL side Los Angeles Kings, who also play at the Crypto.com Arena, postponed their meeting with the Calgary Flames which was scheduled for 03: 30 GMT on Thursday.

Firefighters in Los Angeles are battling a number of blazes in city suburbs, as nearly 180, 000 residents were forced to evacuate.

Kawhi Leonard, a basketball star who competes for the Los Angeles Clippers in a city-wide game, is reportedly set to leave the team to visit his family after their area has been evacuated.

Los Angeles Rams, an affiliate of the NFL, announced that their play-off game against the Minnesota Vikings at SoFi Stadium is still scheduled for Monday.

The Rams stated that “we have our top priorities for the safety of the Los Angeles community,” and that they express their condolences to those affected by the fires.
