Every expecting mother relishes the cry of a newborn, and these mothers are lucky to give birth on January 1st.
The first baby of the year is welcomed by a baby girl who was delivered at 12.34 am at General Hospital Ikorodu, welcomed by Mr. and Mrs. Olaoluwa.
Funke Aderinola delivered the third child of the year 2025 while Gift Kchief delivered the second.

At General Hospital Ifako-Ijaiye, a set of twins was delivered by Mrs Mary Osayomi, the first baby was female and delivered at 12.14 am, and the second baby was male at 12.15 am.
General Hospital Isolo also had a New Year baby, by Mr. And Mrs Lawal delivered at 1: 32 am, a baby boy weighing 2.7kg
The state special adviser on health, Dr. Kemi Ogunyemi says the New Year baby celebration, is a tradition that has come to stay. She pleads with Lagos residents to enroll in Ilera-Eko, a state-run health insurance program.
Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, who was also present, highlighted the advantages of having a child.
