Lagos Task Force Sacks Two Officers For Alleged Phone Theft
Two of the officers are being fired by the Lagos Task Force as a result of an alleged phone theft during one of their raids, according to the organization.  ,
The incident occurred during a raid in the Gowon area of Lagos, according to the task force’s spokesman Gbadeyan Abdulraheem.
Two of the Lagos State Taskforce’s employees were fired after being involved in theft during a recent raid, he said in a statement released on Friday.
“The operation, conducted at a hotel in Gowon Estate known for harboring drug users and traffickers, resulted in numerous arrests. Two officials’ actions, whose misconduct was documented on CCTV, threatened the integrity of the raid, though.
He said the “culprits, Fatai Yusuf (42) and Hammed Garuba (38), were found guilty of stealing mobile phones from the scene. Both individuals, serving as paramilitary officers within the agency, were subjected to a meticulous investigation by the agency’s Disciplinary Committee.
They were immediately exonerated from service and subject to a charge of theft after being found guilty.

The Lagos State Task Force’s Chairman, Adetayo Akerele, denounced their actions in the wake of the development.
” The Lagos State Taskforce is guided by principles of discipline, equity, and justice. He was quoted as saying that any action that threatens the agency’s credibility or undermines public trust will be swiftly and without pause.
