Following Virginia Giuffre’s passing, Lady Victoria Hervey’s comments have sparked controversy. The 48-year-old aristocrat has spoken out in support of the royal, having briefly dated the Duke of York in 1999.
Giuffre, who had publicly accused Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, was found dead by suicide at the age of 41 in Neergabby, Australia, where she had been living on Thursday.
Following the news, Lady Victoria, 48, commented in an article that Giuffre’s claims were false in an article announcing the news. Her response was immediately criticized by angry people who called her response “cold-hearted” and “sick.”
Lady Victoria and Giuffre have previously had public disagreements with one another. Prior to the death of Giuffre, she had previously called her a “fantasist” and “liar” and even made fun of her for making up a fake photo claim. This made her remarks even more uproarious. She also made a furious claim that the 65-year-old Duke of York was “set up” for her. Later, Herovey took to social media to say that she would be stopping all of her posts on the subject and that, regardless of the circumstances, suicide is tragic and even more so for a young mother who has children.

Lady Victoria Hervey, the daughter of the 6th Marquess of Bristol and sister to the 7th and 8th Marquesses, was once the quintessential “It Girl” of the 1990s. A prominent figure in the fashion world, she graced the pages of glossy magazines and became a fixture in tabloid headlines.
She has openly discussed her past relationships with Prince Andrew and her connections to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. She revealed that she and Prince Andrew had a brief romantic relationship in 1999 and that they enjoyed cozy dinners together in the ITV documentary Ghislaine, Prince Andrew &, the Paedophile. Additionally, Hervey compared attending social gatherings hosted by Ghislaine Maxwell and Harvey Epstein to “Batman and Robin” duo. She opened up about her naivety at the time and said she felt used as “bait” to draw other young women into their circle.
Hervey has since been linked to a number of well-known people, including Shane Lynch from Boyzone, but her brief ties to Prince Andrew are still one of her most hysterical connections. The royal is known for his romantic relationship with Sarah Ferguson, who he married in 1986 and divorced in 1996, despite dating American actors like Koo Stark.
In 2021, Giuffre, who made headlines by accusing Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein of sexual abuse, brought a lawsuit against the Duke of York. She claimed that Prince Andrew sexually abused her three times between 1999 and 2002, including in London, New York, and on Epstein’s exclusive Caribbean island.
In February 2022, the case was resolved without a court appearance, with the details of the settlement’s financial details remaining secret. Prince Andrew denied all of the allegations, but a statement in which he expressed regret for working with Epstein was included. There was no acknowledgment of any wrongdoing in the settlement.
Giuffre’s family confirmed last night that she had committed suicide and that she had been a “warrior in the fight against sexual abuse.” Giuffre, who has been a long-term victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking, lost her life to suicide, according to her family. In the struggle against sex trafficking and sexual abuse, Virginia fought ferociously. She provided so many survivors with light. She shined so brightly despite the hardships she endured throughout her life. She will be greatly missed. Her children, Christian, Noah, and Emily, were her life’s source of light.
Virginia realized she had to fight back against those who had abused her and so many others when she held her newborn daughter in her arms. Our beloved Virginia passed away, and there are no words that can adequately express how devastated we are right now. She was brave, and her incredible bravery and caring spirit will always stand out in her memory. In the end, Virginia could no longer bear the weight of abuse because it was so oppressive. She is with the angels, we are aware of.
