In a heartfelt message to fans and his wife Annie, Kyle Walker has broken his silence regarding his departure from Man City.
The defender, who is joining AC Milan on a £4.2million loan, also paid tribute to manager Pep Guardiola and his teammates.
He said: “Manchester City… where do I start? 2017 was a dream come true to join this incredible club. I could only dream about winning 17 trophies, including the Champions League and the infamous treble, in 1977.
I’m truly appreciative of the opportunity I’ve had at the Etihad because playing alongside so many top players has pushed me to be my best selves.
“A huge thank you goes to all the backroom staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes, the coaching staff, the kit men, and the coaching staff. You give us the opportunity to perform at our absolute best and make every day enjoyable.
” To my teammates, from the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. I appreciate the positive experiences we’ve had together, both in terms of memory and success. You are friends, but also family for life.
Thank you Pep Guardiola for working so hard to bring me here in 2017 and for believing in me. Together, we’ve celebrated 17 trophies, and your guidance has helped shape me into the player I am today. I’ll be forever grateful.

When Kyle is unveiled to AC Milan fans this weekend, Annie will travel to Italy to support him. During their match against Parma on Sunday, Kelly is rumored to be introduced to the Italian club’s fans.
It’s a big decision for the family, according to a WAG insider who spoke to the Mirror, but they are talking about it and will take into account what’s best for everyone, especially their boys, who are always top priorities.
