Kim Kardashian to face Paris armed robbers as she’s set to ‘testify’ in court

Kim Kardashian is reportedly scheduled to travel to France to testify against a gang that abducted her during an armed robbery in Paris while her sister was there.
Kim Kardashian is reportedly set to testify at the trial of a Parisian underground gang accused of being behind her 2016 Paris robbery.
It’s claimed that Kim will give evidence to the jury in France later this year, almost ten years after she was held hostage by armed thieves. The robbery, which took place during Paris Fashion Week, saw Kim bound and gagged at gunpoint as armed thieves broke into the apartment she had rented. They held her hostage and made off with $10 million worth of jewellery, including a $4 million ring.
Before it was set to go on trial in 2021, French authorities spent five years looking into the case. The trial is finally scheduled to start in May, almost ten years after the crime. Kim previously testified in front of a jury about the traumatic event with the judge, but this time she will get to testify in this context.
At the time, Kim admitted she thought she was going to be raped and killed when a gang of masked men tied her up and robbed her of millions The Kardashians star, 44, was in France for Paris Fashion Week, and alone in her hotel room when an underworld gang burst in and held her at gunpoint, stealing an enormous haul of jewels, including her £3.2 million engagement ring from ex-husband, Kanye West.
Kim broke down in tears when she described her fear that sister Kourtney would discover her lifeless body and never be able to get over it. However, almost a decade later justice may be served as the gang, dubbed the Kardashian’s 12, which allegedly attacked the mum-of-four, is due to stand trial, almost a decade after the incident, reports TMZ.
The saga started when Kim began posting snaps of herself on Instagram dripping with diamonds in Paris. Aomar Aït Khedache, a self-confessed career criminal, who has been far from shy about his involvement in the heist, said Kim’s “jewels were shown on the internet”.
The 69-year-old reportedly received a tip that a “big American star was coming to town” and that she was displaying her extraordinary wealth on Instagram.
In the police report obtained by Le Monde, he claimed that “the jewels were shown on the Internet, and]she said that she didn’t wear fakes. By the time she would arrive in France, you just had to look at the Internet and knew everything, absolutely everything.”
Khedache reportedly found the robbery “irresistible” after seeing Kim prominently display her impressive jewelry collection on social media.
“None of them had much idea who Kim was, but they liked her very expensive bling,” a source close to the investigation told the Daily Mail, adding that all of the men were particularly interested in Kim’s 18.88-carat engagement ring, especially after she proudly announced that she “did not wear fake jewellery”.
