Kim Kardashian fans beg star to defend Luigi Mangione in court
Fans of Kim Kardashian, 44, have urged the star to step back from reality TV and instead turn to legal matters.
After he was shot dead on December 4, Luigi Mangione, 26, has been charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Mangione’s arrest has been met with a controversial response, with some expressing sympathy for the alleged killer. In an unusual twist, many Twitter users have emailed Kim to defend the young man who has been denied bail because Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend has vehemently opposed prison reform and is currently pursuing a legal career.
One person predicted on X, “Why does it feel like Kim Kardashian will represent Luigi in court?” another responded, “Chile, I know Kim Kardashian is already on her way to see Luigi,” and a third jokingly questioned, “So what happens next?” In a court of law, Kim Kardashian joins Luigi Mangione to defend him.
Some even went further and suggested Kim could save Mangione to get him to work for Skims, her clothing line. “Tbh if]Mangione] wasn’t going to jail &, he somehow went free he’d be walking so many shows &, book campaigns he’s lowkey the modern day prison bae kim kardashian is looking at ways to set him free as we speak!! the inevitable skims campaign will break the internet…” one person said, with a second echoing, “Kim Kardashian needs to get Luigi pardoned and then put him in a Skims campaign”.
Kim, a member of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has been pursuing legal training since 2018 and frequently campaigns to have US prisons’ death sentences commuted. She passed the “baby bar” exam in 2021 after failing it three times. It is for students who have completed one year of unaccredited law school.
Despite rumors that she had given up on the dream of becoming a lawyer, she gave fans an update on her legal journey this summer. She also revealed that she is still working toward it. “I can’t deal w all these f**king hearsay exceptions! She captioned a photo of her extensive note collection on her Instagram Story as “my least favorite subject in law school.”

After all the work and all of her talk about pushing for prison reform, she couldn’t drop it, they added. “She can’t drop it without looking bad, looking like she couldn’t pass it.”
