Kerry Katona has vowed to find love again, calling for the launch of the popular hit dating program Love Island for older people over the age of 40 on ITV. Following a “breach of trust,” the mother-of-five ended her relationship with fiance Ryan Mahoney in November.

Writing in her weekly column, Kerry admitted: “I wish they’d do a celeb over forties Love Island – I’d be on there in a heartbeat. It appears to be a lot of fun. I want to be involved”. Paul Danan and Calum Best were the stars of the original Love Island series, which first aired in 2005, and was shot in Fiji. However, it ended in 2006, and despite returning to the show in recent years, Joey Essex and other stars haven’t yet appeared on regular Love Island.

Love Island: All Stars around the firepit
Kerry claims she is a fan of the television series All Stars and would like to visit the villa herself (ITV).

Kerry, a mother-of-four, claimed she was a sucker for the current All Stars season after Scott Thomas left the villa after failing to find love with Tina Stinnes. Kerry wrote: “I am absolutely loving Love Island: All Stars – I’ve become obsessed. I think I’m a bit in love with Casey. He looks very cute with Gabby and seems to have really grown up since his last appearance on the show. I think Ekin-Su is trying to stir up the drama too much, but I do really like Curtis”.

Kerry admitted before Christmas that she was “heartbroken” after splitting from fitness trainer Ryan, and it seems like she is ready to resume dating. Kerry said, “It’s difficult to see other couples happy and thinking about how I was always with Ryan at Christmas, especially before we move forward with the 2024 festive period.” I’m struggling to feel that spirit. All the memories from that time were there, and it was six and a half years in my life. I’ve been crying all day for days because I really miss him. I’m just heartbroken”.

Kerry did claim that the two of them had lost trust, but she hasn’t revealed the specific cause of their decision to break up, which led to Ryan moving out of their shared Cheshire home. Announcing the break-up, she explained: “We are no longer together and it’s been a really tough week – I never in a million years thought this would happen. Without going into too much detail, there’s been a breach of trust between us. I’m not sure if we’ll be able to reconcile, but I still adore him dearly.

” I feel like everythi ng has heaped on recently and it’s so much to deal with, I’m really struggling. But I know I can get through it, no matter what happens. I’ve been through break-ups before and come out the other side, so we just need to see what happens. “
