Kelly Brook has been working out hard for the London Marathon, but the former model has been suffering as she revealed the wounds she has suffered before the big day.
Kelly Brook has opened up about the painful injuries she’s suffered during her intense training for the London Marathon. The 45 year old TV star is preparing to participate in the marathon this Sunday, alongside her husband Jeremy Parisi, whom she wed in 2022.
She’ll be running with thousands of others, including celebs like Harry Judd, Joe Wicks, and Alexandra Burke, and there’s one essential item she knows she can’t forget.
Kelly mentioned to The Sun that she’s been stocked up on Vaseline after bleeding during training runs. She stated, “I used Vaseline pots, and I was away on Sunday.” I had a quick 10k before I tapered.
I feared that leaving my Vaseline at home would cause me to panic. Nothing can make you ready for the chaffing! After ten kilometers, I started bleeding.
The former Page 3 model also recently confessed that training with her husband Jeremy has been ‘challenging’. She humorously referred to him as her ‘carer’ during their running sessions over the past few months.
Running with Jeremy can get quite competitive and challenging, Kelly, who has been working with Slimfast, said in an exclusive interview with MailOnline. She said, “He’s super competitive and he’s very fit, and sometimes he’s like my carer,” and that makes it a little more difficult to train him and to do things together on a physical level.
He says, “He’s giving me electrolytes, he’s walking, and I’m there shuffling while I’m thinking I’m running!” He will find it more difficult. I want to feel like he’s on par with him, so I don’t want to be that way. I feel like I’ve let my fitness slip a little. Because I hadn’t run for years, I’m now a little more of an advocate and getting out and going for a run.
While Kelly continues her quest to match her husband’s fitness level, she highlighted how running has significantly boosted her mental health.
I was much more in charge because of how much more control I had, she said. “Running gave me clarity and there was a completely different approach to everything I would do. “I think the exercise really improves my mental health,” she says. more so than I had anticipated.
She continued, “We are currentlyundergoing a significant lifestyle overhaul, which is amazing. We recently purchased our home, and we’ve been renting it out for the past two years. As a result, we’ll be doing lots of decorating and having fun.
My husband turns 40 this year, and I think we’re entering a phase of our lives where we just want to be healthier. We’re just in a really good dynamic right now, in my opinion.
Kelly also argued that women “put themselves under too much pressure” to lose weight.
After returning to the UK from LA and moving back to the size 12, the radio host went from a size 12 to a size 16 in 2018. She managed to shed the pounds thanks to SlimFast, for which she is an ambassador. In another interview, Kelly urged women to avoid putting too much emphasis on how they look, especially in their partners’ eyes, because, for the most part, men don’t even “see” how they look.
In a frank and open discussion about weight loss, healthy living and body confidence, the star – who has managed her weight with the help of SlimFast – stated: “We put so much pressure on ourselves, sometimes it doesn’t even come from our other halves. They don’t see it, they’re not looking at the rolls, the back fat and the wobbly bits that we think they are. They don’t notice it as much.”
