The lawmaker representing Kebbi Central Senatorial District, Adamu Aliero, has called on his supporters to remain calm and loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC), despite developments that followed the party’s recent congresses in the state.
Senator Aliero made the call during the distribution of Ramadan palliatives to his constituents in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
It would be recalled that the APC on Tuesday held its state congress in Kebbi, which was not attended by three senators from the state, a development that raised concerns among party members.
Speaking on behalf of the Senator, his Senior Legislative Aide, Dr. Faruku Udulu, said Aliero defected to the APC because of his long-standing relationship with the President, noting that they both served as governors at the same time.

He added that Senator Aliero is working closely with Bola Tinubu and the Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, towards their second-term bids, stressing that Senator Aliero remains loyal to the party.
“President Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris will secure their second terms in office, and Senator Aliero is fully aligned with them as efforts are being made to resolve all outstanding issues,” he said.
Udulu disclosed that the palliatives include over 12,000 bags of rice, 10 tractors for farmers, as well as mini buses.
