Katya Jones, a professional dancer, gives off a subtle homage to Wynne Evans while on tour.
On the Strictly Come Dancing live tour, Wynne, 53, had been working with dance partner Katya, 35, but it was revealed earlier this week that he would be taking a “some time out.” His departure from the tour follows his recent remark to its host Janette Manrara, for which he later apologized.
After performing without Wynne in Liverpool on Tuesday night, Katya has already made a tease about the fact that she “missed” him. She had previously been partnered with him for the BBC show last year. In her dressing room at the M&, S Bank Arena Liverpool, she now appears to have revealed that she has a memory of their friendship.
Before the cast’s final performance at the arena, she took a photo of herself backstage on Wednesday night. In a dressing room, Katya was seen taking a selfie. A polaroid-like photo, which appeared to be of Wynne in a pink jumper, was visible at the side of her mirror. Alongside a waving emoji close to the keepsake, she wrote: “Hello”.
Since Wynne’s recent departure, the tour is continuing. It comes after it was previously revealed that he had mentioned a sexual act while taking a photocall with his co-stars at the launch in Birmingham.

The comment was made after host Janette approached the group, as previously reported. Wynne sang out “Go Compare” before adding: “Not too close to Jamie]Borthwick]”. The video that Daily Mail released then appeared to use the term “spit roast” in reference to a lewd sexual act.
Wynne later apologized to the Mirror, saying, “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable. While a tour and BBC Studios spokesman said: “We did not previously receive any complaints about the remark.” We have made it very clear to Wynne that we will not tolerate such conduct on the tour.
More recently, in a statement issued on Tuesday, Wynne said: “I’ve agreed with the BBC that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing”.
He added: “I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection. I’m sorry to those who won’t be able to see the remaining performances, and I’m appreciative of my fellow tour members’ incredible help.
Katya, his ex-girlfriend, responded to the news on her own account. Sharing his statement with her followers, she wrote in her caption over it: “Let’s show humanity and consideration. My sweet boy, I’ll miss you.
