Wynne Evans’ departure from the Strictly Come Dancing tour has caused Katya Jones to cry out.
After being caught making a vile sexual jibe at a co-star, the opera singer and GoCompare advert star both agreed to withdraw from the tour. After days of rumors about his future on the tour, which has still got 12 dates left, he finally confirmed the axe last night. Evans stated that he will “take some time off” from his Strictly Come Dancing live tour and his BBC radio show to prioritize his well-being.
As she came to Evans’ defense, Katya broke her social media silence. Last night she shared Evans ‘ statement and added: “Let’s show humanity and consideration. My sweet boy, I’ll miss you. She later wrote, “Really missed this tonight,” in a photo of Evans performing live on the Strictly tour.
Evans said in a statement: “I’ve agreed with the BBC that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing. I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.
Apologies to those who won’t be able to see the remaining performances, and I’m grateful to my fellow tour members for their incredible help. When Janette Manrara, the tour’s host, approached the group for a photo during the press conference, he was filmed making an inappropriate sexual remark to her.
Evans was heard singing:” Go Compare, “before adding:” Not too close to Jamie]Borthwick]. In reference to a lewd sexual act, “He then was heard using the demeaning term “spit roast.” Evans had previously stated in the Mirror that his inappropriate remark was “put up with me” by her dance partner, Katya.
Prior to the contentious incident, he mentioned going on a tour with Katya and said, “It’s really nice, it’s lovely. She makes me laugh, and she is lovely. “Evans also reflected on his time on Strictly and said:” I really enjoyed my time on Strictly, it was really good. I had a great time. Leant a new skill, made a new friend. Not Katya. Obviously Jamie, no Katya. It was just brilliant. It was a really positive and positive experience for me as well.
Following the release of the video, Evans told the Mirror:” My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise. According to reports that Evans and his girlfriend Liz Brookers broke up due to the scandal, The father of two now faces pressure to shelve his new travelogue, Wynne &, Joanna: All At Sea, with Gavin &, Stacey actress Joanna Page. He also runs the risk of losing the six-figure salary as GoCompare, a job that first gained him in 2009.
