Katie Price has revealed that she has three reborn dolls as new additions to the family.
Back in October, the 46-year-old confused fans by sharing a picture of what appeared to be two newborn babies, with their faces not shown. Earlier this month, she gave her followers a further insight and revealed she had twin life-like dolls, alongside a third.
In her television series Making Babies, Katie claims to have found solace in the dolls in the midst of growing children’s fertility issues. The reality star claims that while many people believe that reborn dolls for adults are “mad,” there is a deeper motivation behind them.
She explained: “I haven’t got twins, I’ve got triplets. I don’t know how it happened, I think I was looking for real life babies at the time.
For this reason, Katie continued, “And I found this company that does babies,” she continued, before reading through the website’s description of how their dolls can assist in many ways.
” They help with people with social anxiety, communication difficulties, those who have suffering grief from a loss of a baby, PTSD, infertility, anxiety and depression, “she read.
” Furthermore, it has been proven to have therapeutic benefits, particularly for people with Dementia where the doll can spark memories of their own children. “
Knowing that she can’t conceive naturally has been a “lonely” time, which has previously caused depression and anxiety.
” So, it is a serious thing, “she continued”. I never discussed it, but when I did, I decided to “do I post it or not” when I received them. ‘, because it’s not a gimmick thing. “
Katie, already a mum to five children, Harvey, 22, Junior, 19, Princess, 17, Jett, 11, and Bunny, 11, says despite her fertility struggles, she isn’t giving up on having more children.
” I can still carry a baby, I can still try one of my one per cent eggs or surrogacy, there’s lots of ways, “she added on her The Katie Price show podcast. Anyone in my position, you don’t need to give up, there are ways, I still want kids and I’m not giving up”.
In Channel 4’s Making Babies, the mother-of-five shared her fertility struggles with her ex-boyfriend Carl Woods and her IVF journey with her. She was seen having numerous hormone injections, blood tests, and scans as well as a surgical procedure to retrieve eggs because she had determined to defy the odds.
The reality diva has since revealed she’s tried IVF three times before, but she’s now looking into it with Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, her current partner.
