After sharing a heartfelt moment with her mother Amy, who has battled idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) for almost a decade, Katie Price had a surprisingly “calm” Christmas.
Katie Price enjoyed a surprisingly “calm” Christmas. The ex-glamour model, who has been a staple in the celebrity world since the 1990s, documents her usually chaotic family life on her YouTube channel for her fans, and was joined by her mother, Amy, in a festive update.
As the family made its festive voyage to the Isle of Wight, the showbiz legend, 47, all of her children joined her. Katie started her latest vlog by singing the 1980s classic Solid by Ashford &, Simpson while sat around the kitchen table.
She said: “I loved this song when I was younger, Solid. I just remember playing that.” She then began to speak of Christmas, where she said: “I love it. It’s nice that we’re all together. And considering how many people are here, it’s quite calm, isn’t it? The kids are upstairs.”

Amy chimed in: “Do you think? Well, I think the kids have worn themselves out,” before Katie continued: “I’m so relaxed. I could fall asleep. I’m relaxed. All of the build-up to Christmas, and now it’s like…relax. Ready for the New Year!” The former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star, who also has 23-year-old Harvey from her previous relationship with footballer Dwight York, then proclaimed that it was a “new lease of life” for everyone, and that 2026 would be a “new start” for her mum.
When Amy was questioned about Katie’s happiness, she responded, “I think it’s nice to have all the family here.” You’ve been over more than Sophie this year, so why does she actually come over? Before Katie joked that she “does nothing” when visiting her mother on a little escape, I think it’s quite nice. I think she’s chills when she’s here.
Fans of Katie will know that her battling idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF ). Amy, who was diagnosed with IPF in 2017, had a lung transplant in November 2022 in hopes of improving her condition, but last year, it became apparent just how predictable the condition can be. To help her with things, Katie presented Amy with a mobility scooter for Christmas, and her mum was left crying tears of joy as Katie threw her arms around her.
It’s a new lease on life, freedom, Katie declared. You can simply whiz down to the beach without having to worry about parking because you can do it in your car, especially in the summer. It will last ages when it is fully charged. Up the hill, you can go to the shops. It accomplishes everything”! The emotional response was quickly reacted by fans in the comments section.
One person wrote, “My scooter opened up my world, not just for me, but also for my daughter and grandchildren. One person said, “What a lovely daughter you have, she is so caring and generous, your mother doesn’t realize how much of her life will be better,” and another, “… You have a wonderful family and a beautiful daughter. A prosperous and happy new year… Keep your heart open, Katie, you are beautiful. God bless you all.
When I saw your mother’s happy tears, a third said, “Icried.” Where your mother is, where your family home is, doesn’t matter how old you are, whether you’re an adult or an adult, you can feel secure and content. You all appear stunning in a group. She mentioned how her health fluctuated, had good and bad days, and was unpredictable last year. On a show hosted by her sister Sophie on The Katie Price Show, Katie discussed her mother’s ongoing issues.
Katie said to her mother, who was also a participant in the podcast, “I do feel you for you mum, because people have to understand what my mother’s going through because her brain is still very active.” She is frustrated because she is unable to perform the tasks she once did.
Because I am a patient person, the former glamour model continued, “Now let’s take my walker or wheelchair because I’m not taking an hour when my mother teases me and says let’s go look at the Isle of Wight shops. Amy responded, “It’s not doing me any good because I’m supposed to walk to help myself,” praising herself. Amy might also be attending this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, according to Katie. “I should probably be walking,” Amy said.
Earlier this year, Katie revealed that while she’d never been a smoker, she quickly got drawn in by vapes, and started suspecting something could be wrong with her own lungs. On Snapchat, 46-year-old Katie shared that she was heading up to London for the day, and soon revealed that she was getting her lungs scanned. The star admitted that she was “nervous” to undergo the tests, but said that it had to be done. She then posted plenty of photos and videos from the medical practice, showing herself going through various exams.
She continued, “I therefore thought I’d update you about yesterday when I went and had my lungs checked.” Since my mother had a lung transplant, I had them checked to see if it was genetic or if vaping had had an effect on my lungs or anything else. However, he gave me advice on how to get off the vapes because my lungs are flawless and there is no problem with them. I’m starting to wean myself away from the vapes. But yes, it’s all good news because, especially for my age, they all have excellent lungs and are all working well. That’s all good. I’m completely healthy.
