Katherine Ryan shares important update with fans after announcing cancer diagnosis

After revealing she had been secretly diagnosed with cancer a second time and had already undergone surgery to remove a deadly mole, Kathleen Ryan has updated her fans.

Fans’ concern over the fact that Katherine Ryan has been given a second diagnosis of cancer has led to a statement from her. The 41-year-old comedian has previously had cancer, revealing that she had a growth removed while she was a student while performing an operation on her leg.

The Canadian actress revealed on Friday that she had recently undergone surgery to remove a cancerous mole from her arm after it was discovered to be melanoma.

On her podcast, Telling Everybody Everything, she openly discussed her most recent health issue with viewers. Fans gathered to follow her on social media and her story sparked a flurry of headlines.

Now Katherine has issued a new statement to reassure fans that she is “fine” and urged those concerned about her not to “stress”. She also wanted to make it clear that she was not taking a pop at the NHS when she complained about the level of service she endured while investigating her mole.

She announced on Instagram on Friday: “Hello, I’m just in a meeting right now, but I realised that the melanoma thing from my podcast got picked up and with added commentary like, ‘takes a swipe at the NHS’. I’ve made a TikTok explaining because it’s just the most concise way and it’s fine and it’s not a big deal. So don’t stress.”

When she was initially fired, she revealed that she had been forced to persuade doctors to take her health concerns seriously.

She stated to her podcast’s listeners that they were only happy because I attended a fancy, private restaurant in South Kensington and paid them a fortune.

I don’t think the NHS would have ever removed this mole because, according to my emails, I’m trying to find out how long ago, I believe, I gave another private clinic £300 for a 30-minute consultation.

She continued, “I did melanoma on the NHS, it’s all I do, I know all about skin cancer, I’m the man, this is not melanoma, goodbye,” while the doctor said, “I do melanoma on the NHS, it’s all I do.” He really helped me and gave me the news I needed.

“I believe it’s very simple to accept that you’re healthy and leave.” However, the mole and melanoma kept changing, and I’m no stranger to them. I simply felt like this mole was wrong because I had pictures of it on my arm on social media.

Katherine went on to explain why she wanted a second opinion and said, “No, I’m not melanoma, I’m not melanoma, I’m not melanoma, I’m not melanoma, I’ll do the shave and send it away for histology, and then if there’s any borders that we missed, we’ll do the deeper cut.”
