Katherine Ryan recalls ‘scary interactions’ with male fans following her after gigs

When her career began to flourish, comedian Katherine Ryan admitted to being a target of “very strange lone-wolf men.”

She told Good Housekeeping: “When I started doing television, male audience members could be weird with me.. before I had a tour manager, they’d follow me on to the train and keep talking to me. Some of the interactions I tried to be polite and establish a boundary were frightening.

Katherine also mentioned how she’s frequently attacked sexual predators in comedy. She claims that no one has ever tried to be a weirdo with me because I’m probably very frightening. I want to make it clear that I’m not blaming someone else because they have “the wrong energy,” because I’m aware that I might be perceived as being a victim.

She allegedly meant Russell Brand, but she did not confirm this. Other women have made allegations of sexual misconduct, including a rape, against Brand, all of which he denies.
