A private limited company with model Kate Moss on its board is currently facing a mandatory strike-off.

Kate, 51 – who launched her wellness brand Cosmoss in 2022 – is listed as a director of Cosmoss Group Ltd. The business ‘ profile on Companies House states that it faces compulsory strike-off because of “overdue” accounts.

According to the profile, accounts that were due by December 31 of last year are now overdue. The company’s filing history lists a “notice for compulsory strike-off” as of March 4 this year. However, the document is still being processed and will be accessible in 10 days, so it is not currently accessible to the general public.

Cosmoss received a Notice of Files at Companies House this week, and the company has two months to submit the figures. It is well known that a business could be removed from the register if it doesn’t file the accounts. However, a colleague claimed the accounts would be filed shortly, according to columnist Richard Eden’s article for the Daily Mail this week.

Further, according to Companies House, Cosmoss Group Ltd. is also reported to be having significant control over Cosmoss Limited, a separate business. That other company’s first accounts are scheduled to be released in September of this year, and it was incorporated as a private limited company on December 15, 2023.

Kate created what has been referred to as an “intimate line of wellbeing products” in 2022 when she launched her brand Cosmoss. The company has offered its customers a range of products in categories like fragrances, skincare, and teas, which has previously drawn comparisons to actor Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop. However, at the time of writing, a website for Cosmoss currently has most of its items listed as “out of stock”.

Less than a year on from the wellness brand’s launch, it was reported in April 2023 that accounts for Cosmoss showed that it owed lenders. Accounts, as originally reported, revealed that the business owed lenders more than £405,000 in cash and assets totaling over £315,000.

Kate’s wellness venture came about after earning modeling status in the 1990s. Her work in the fashion industry has seen her grace the runways for Dolce &amp and Gabbana as well as the covers of magazines like Vogue. She founded the talent agency Kate Moss Agency in 2016 and has also looked at the future of the modeling industry.
