Kanye West says X boss Elon Musk unfollowed him on Twitter after antisemitic tweets

Following a string of antisemitic rants posted by the music star, Elon Musk, the big boss at X and controversial public figure, unfollowed rapper Kanye West on the platform.

Following calls from numerous X-Lovers, including famous people like David Schwimmer, to remove the rapper from the platform, this social media snub comes. Kaye himself made a comment about the situation, essentially predicting his looming exile: “Elon unfollowed me, so I’m not sure how long I’ll be on Twitter / X, If I’m taken off go to.. “

His post then trailed off with an invite to his fashion label’s site, Yeezy.com. As the artist kept dropping content that was full of hateful Nazi-related messages and insults to Jewish people, Elon, who took over at Twitter, appears to have distanced himself from Kanye. Elon-targeted jabs were one of the contentious posts. He also shared posts that made fun of domestic abuse and defended Diddy.

Father-of-four Kanye made dozens of anti-Semitic posts disparaging Jews in his own family and even close friends who are Jews before claiming that he has “never trusted them”. In his series of tweets, one read: “I LOVE HITLER. NOW WHAT B***ES”. He quickly followed it up with: “LETS SEE IF YALL GIVE THAT MONEY BACK”, before adding: “IM A NAZI”.

The controversial actor continued to make outrageous claims about being racist by saying, “IM RACIST STEREO TYPES EXIST FOR A REASON AND THEY ALL BE TRUE,” as he reiterated his earlier disparaging remarks about Jews. On Friday, Ye, who is well-known for his offensive Twitter rants against a number of people, threw in more than 20 tweets.

Following making similar racist comments, Kanye’s X account has been suspended at least twice in recent years. His account was blocked in December 2022 after he criticized Hitler and made antisemitic remarks. After Ye posted a photo that appeared to contain a swastika inside a Star of David, Elon threatened to suspend the account “for incitement to violence.”

In July 2023, his account was unsuspended. Friends actor David took to his Facebook page to ask Elon to stop Kanye in response to his recent antisemitic tirade. David wrote: “This is so 2022. We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk. Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X”.

“That’s twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence. His sexist hate speech causes actual Jewish violence. He continued, “I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that he claims to be a Nazi (which implies that he wants to eradicate ALL marginalized communities, including his own), or the fact that there isn’t enough OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point. Silence is complicity”.
