Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central District, and justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court Abuja, have recused themselves from the case.

Justice Egwuatu made his decision to end the case at the hearing on Tuesday following the scheduled court appearances.

The main justification for his decision was Senate President Godswilll Akpabio, the third defendant in the case, who allegedly had bias.

The Senate President, according to what was known, expressed doubts about the court’s ability to do justice in the case, which is why this development emerged.

Justice Egwuatu added that Justice John Tsoho, the Supreme Court’s chief justice, will be given the case file for transfer to a new judge.

Natasha denies apologizing to the Senate, and Natasha says, “I’ll Not Be Intimidated.”

The Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions was barred from bringing disciplinary proceedings against Akpoti-Uduaghan in an ex-parte order that Justice Egwuatu had previously granted.

She requested that the court grant her request to prevent the Senate and the ethics committee from “proceeding with the purported investigation” against her.
