The Commissioner of Police in Niger State, Shawulu Danmamman, has blamed the recent dynamite explosion in Sabon Pegi community, Mashegu Local Government Area, on indiscriminate storage of dynamite.
Danmamman also claimed that the neighborhood was involved in the explosives’ concealment, stressing the need for public assistance in preventing such incidents.
He made this known during a press conference held at the command’s Minna, North Central Nigeria.
According to the Commissioner, the police rely on the public to report suspicious movements or activities, adding that it is crucial in averting similar incidents.
