JUST IN: 12 Inmates Escape In Kogi Jailbreak — Commissioner

On Monday, twelve prisoners escaped during a dawn jailbreak at the Federal Correctional Center in Kotonkarfe, Kogi State.

Kingsley Fanwo, the Kogi State Information Commissioner, described the incident as “unfortunate” and assured the public that the government would work with security forces to stop it from happening again.

One of the escapees has been re-arrested, according to him, according to him.

There are significant concerns raised by the idea that the prisoners escaped through the tower without causing any structural damage.

According to Fanwo, “This calls for a thorough investigation to find out the precise circumstances of the escape, make arrests of the fugitives, and discover potential saboteurs within the system.”
